STAGE MANAGER - Hamlet, Tartuffe, The Seagull

Oversees and manages scheduling of actors and technicians during the production.  Responsible for organizing onstage and backstage talent during performance, as well as running all technical elements of the production from the tech booth.  Serves as a rehearsal assistant during the rehearsal process and functions as light and sound board operator during performance.

Strong organizational, communication, leadership skills and a working knowledge of theatrical stage management required.  Experience with QLab and Lightfactory software is a plus.

This position is open to non-union stage managers only.

Contract Length: May - July 2015
Contract Type: Profit Sharing

COSTUME DESIGNER - MISS JULIE

Oversees and coordinates costuming for the production.  Responsible for designing, acquiring, and maintaining all costumes.  Responsible for acquiring or building any specialty costume items needed.  Works closely with technical director to recruit and supervise volunteers if necessary. Works closely with the production director, other designers, and managing artistic director to develop a unified design concept.  Responsible for keeping all costume expenses within budget.

Must possess strong organizational and leadership skills and a working knowledge of theatrical costuming.  Experience working on low and no-budget productions is a plus.

Contract Length: May - July 2015

STAGE MANAGER - STAGED READING ( 2 Positions Available )

MUSICAL DIRECTOR / ACCOMPANIST - THE THREEPENNY OPERA

Responsible for teaching all music to singers and actors and accompanying the performance on piano.  Works closely with the director and managing artistic director to create a rehearsal schedule.

Strong musical and accompaniment skills required.  Experience working in a theatrical concert reading environment a plus.

Note: Position may require an audition.

Contract Length: 1 Week (July - August 2015)

COSTUME SUPERVISOR - ONE NIGHT ONLY STAGED READING SERIES 2015

Oversees and coordinates costuming with actors for Staged Readings.  Advises actors on appropriate look and clothing through use of visual tools and the New Muses Pinterest page.  Responsible for acquiring or building any specialty costume items needed.  Works closely with individual directors and the managing artistic director to stay within budget.

Must possess strong organizational and leadership skills and a working knowledge of theatrical costuming.  Experience working on low and no-budget productions is a plus.

Contract Length: July - August 2015
Contract Type: Volunteer

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR:

Oversees and manages the technical aspects of all productions and events.  Responsible for organizing and recruiting volunteers to help with set construction, costumes, and other technical areas as requested by designers and the Managing Artistic Director.   Serves as master carpenter when necessary.  Coordinates and maintains production schedule in cooperation with the individual production teams.

Must possess strong organizational and leadership skills and a working knowledge of all technical aspects of theater production.  Knowledge of drafting is a plus.

BOX OFFICE MANAGER:

Manages the New Muses box office, both online and on-site during events.  Responsible for tracking ticket sales, balancing and documenting cash sales, and coordinating front of house volunteers and ushers during productions and events.  Required availability on Sunday evenings throughout July and August and during regular performance hours through July.

Must possess strong organizational skills, cash-handling experience, exceptional customer service ability, and experience with computers and basic spreadsheets.

DIRECTOR OF SOCIAL MEDIA AND MARKETING

Maintains all New Muses social media pages, including but not limited too: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, and Instagram.   Creates exciting and original social media content to grow our audience.  Works closely with the Managing Artistic Director to write copy and promote all productions, events, and fundraising efforts.  Supervises traditional theater marketing including but not limited to postering, email lists, and cross promotion with other arts groups.

Must possess a strong command of grammar and the English language, knowledge of social media, creativity and outside-the-box thinking, and strong organizational ability.
