AN ILIAD

Secrets secrets are no fun. Secrets secrets hurt someone... An incendiary exploration of adolescence in a society where adults are too uncomfortable to tell the truth about growing up, SPRING'S AWAKENING is tender, funny, and provocatively timeless. As Wendla, Melchior, Moritz and their classmates navigate their burgeoning adulthood, their quest for discovery is endlessly thwarted by the adults in their lives refusing to engage with the realities of sex, love, and adolescence. Left to fend for themselves, the children experience a twisted web of discovery, exultation, misery, and tragedy. With its frank depiction of adolescent sexuality, mental health, and intergenerational trauma, Wedekind's powerful and moving story about the universal struggle for self-discovery and the challenges that come with it remains as daring and provocative today as it was when it first premiered over a century ago. Don't miss your chance to experience this landmark work of art that continues to inspire audiences with its raw emotion and unapologetic examination of the human experience.
