Lord Byron's
MANFRED

ADAPTED and PERFORMED
by
Niclas Olson

Recorded Live at the Dukesbay Theater

New Muses Theatre Company, in association with Falling Sparrow Films, presents Lord Bryon's MANFRED. Recorded live at the Dukesbay Theater in Tacoma under strict covid protocols this dazzling stage production launches New Muses' 2020-21 Season.

Featuring a stunning performance from managing artistic director Niclas Olson, this solo performance of Byron's epic poem is a sight for the eyes and a treat for the ears. From the chilly halls of Manfred's castle to the soaring summits of the Swiss Alps and the world below, Manfred's search for absolution and forgiveness in the face of his own despair is both tragic and timeless. Staged in the intimate confines of the Dukesbay Theater, MANFRED is poignant, exhilarating, and at times even heartbreaking.

This production is presented to our audiences without a paywall. It has always been our belief that "theatre for a contemporary audience" must be accessibly priced. However, that does not mean that this production did not come without its fair share of costs. If you are able, please make a donation to help offset the costs of this and future digital productions during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Stay home. Stay safe. Live theatre will return.
