New Muses is comprised of a seasonal company of theatre artists and tenured artistic associates joining together to produce intelligent, thought-provoking, and engaging theatre for a contemporary audience. Kelsey Harrison - Company Member
Kelsey is about to enter her senior year at Viterbo University and will earn her BFA in Musical Theatre in the Spring. She recently received her Diploma in Classical Acting from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. Past credits include ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA; PIPPIN; LITTLE WOMEN; and THE MUSIC MAN. Katelyn Hoffman - Company Member
Katelyn is delighted to be a part of another New Muses production, having previously appeared in The Shape of Things and On The Verge. Katelyn has been acting in the area for the last ten years at various theatres including Lakewood Playhouse, Tacoma Little Theatre, The Midnight Sun, The Odd Duck, and others. She could be last seen in the family musical A Year with Frog and Toad as Turtle at Lakewood Playhouse.
Katherine Mahoney - Company Member
Katherine Mahoney has been on and off stage throughout the sound as an actor, stage manager, director, and playwright. Past credits include CB’s Sister in Dog Sees God, Female Chorus in How I Learned to Drive, and various parts of The Vagina Monologues. She attended The American Academy of Dramatic Arts and is currently at Pacific Lutheran University.
Lauren Nance* - Artistic Associate
Lauren is an actor, singer, and dancer whose credits include Titanic, Nine, Sweeney Todd, All Shook Up, H.M.S. Pinafore, RENT, Company, The Spitfire Grill, Our Country's Good, Proof, A Dream Play, Cabaret, Twelfth Night, Into the Woods, and Oklahoma. Lauren is a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University's BFA Acting and Directing program.
Niclas Olson* - Managing Artistic Director
Actor, playwright, director and founder of New Muses Theatre Company, Olson's work has been seen throughout the Puget Sound. Directing accomplishments include David Mamet's Oleanna, William Shakespeare's Hamlet, Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest, Wallace Shawn's The Fever, Laura Cunningham's Flop Cop, his own Last Waltz on a Midnight Violin, Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit, The Emperor's New Clothes, and Anthem: A Musical Theatre Cabaret. Kaylie Rainer - Company Member
Kaylie has a BA in Theatre from WWU and studied Commedia in Italy. Recent roles include Susan (The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe; OFT), Rooster (Bluebeard; Assemblage), and BAT’s all-female Jesus Christ Superstar. She will return to SOTA, her alma mater, in January to teach Theatre Production and Actor’s Studio.
Katherine Robinson - Company Member
Kathryn is a newly returned Tacoma native. Growing up, she was very active around the Tacoma Community Theatre scene appearing in such plays as Fiddler on the Roof at Lakewood Playhouse, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas at Tacoma Little Theatre, and Big River at Tacoma Musical Playhouse. After having graduated from Tacoma School of the Arts with a concentration in Theatre she continued on to study Theatre at SUNY Purchase College in New York. After graduation she worked as an assistant stage manager for various Off-Broadway theatre companies including The LAByrinth Theatre Co. and The Hudson Stage Theatre Co.
Nick Spencer - Company Member
Nick Spencer received his BA in Theatre Arts from the University of Puget Sound. Local acting credits include Awake and Sing! and 5th of July (Broadway Center for the Performing Arts), Buenas Noches Mamá and WaT is DaDa? (Toy Boat Theatre), Lydia, The Cradle Will Rock, and The Skin of Our Teeth (UPS). Other recent production credits include assistant directing Anon(ymous) (University of Washington Tacoma & Toy Boat Theatre) and directing Machinal (UPS). Mr. Spencer serves the Puget Sound area as an arts administrator and is the founding Artistic Director of Petrichor Theatre Lab.
Dylan Twiner - Company Member
Dylan is an actor whose credits include Last Days of Judas Iscariot, Stop Kiss, Lion in Winter, Hamlet, The Woman in Black, Scapin, The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, and War of the Worlds. He currently serves as technical director for Charles Wright Academy.
